This Sub-committee is responsible for ensuring that the Chamber’s financial resources are well optimised and its administration is running efficiently. In addition, it makes recommendations to the Board with regards to the financial and investments of the Chamber’s operations and resources, as well as ensures that a conducive environment is in place for the Secretariat to work in and perform.
Key Objectives

Review the previous year’s accounts, prepare the Annual Budget and monitor it periodically for changes and/or recommendations to the Board.

Review income generating projects for the Chamber and ensure their viability.

Monitor the Chamber’s reserves and developments in the capital markets so as to ensure that SICCI’s reserves are invested wisely (taking into account SICCI’s requirements and constraints), thereby securing optimal returns as well as ensuring SICCI’s long-term viability.

Review requests for donations, sponsorships, etc., and recommend to the Board those which are beneficial to the Chamber and fall within the Annual Budget.

Review and decide on Secretariat staff matters, including salary reviews, as recommended/tabled by the Chief Executive Officer.

Recommend restructuring/changes in the Administration of the Secretariat as may be necessary.

Guide and co-ordinate the performance appraisal exercise for the staff at the Secretariat.
