|
This Sub-committee focuses on promoting the interest of the pulse traders in Singapore. It monitors local and international developments and their impact on this trade and devises relevant mechanisms to address these developments. It also organises relevant events and programmes in the pursuit of the interest of this group of traders.
Key Objectives
-
Identify appropriate mechanisms to reach out to and bring on board beans and pulses traders/professionals as member of the Chamber.

Create possible platforms in the Chamber to engage these members as well as involve them in the Chamber’s activities and programmes, including the organisation of networking events for these members.

Identify an annual signature/special event for these members apart from looking at opportunities to co-host events such as the CICILS/IPTIC conferences.

Co-ordinate and provide feedback and/or inputs by these members to the appropriate government bodies on issues affecting the Singapore Indian beans and pulses traders.

Present and circulate relevant papers to the Board of Directors on issues relating to beans and pulses trade as and when necessary.

Promote free trade of beans and pulses and provide inputs towards policy framework to promote free trade across the relevant markets through government/non-government bodies.

Any other relevant issues raised by the members for collective action.
