Established first in 1924 as the Indian Merchants Association, the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) is an independent, non-profit organization with over 500 members. It is a platform for enhancing interaction and information exchange for business promotion and development for its members. It is a unified body representing the Indian mercantile community and serves as a spokesman to the private and public sector organizations in Singapore, and it also serves as a Secretariat for the Asia Pacific Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (APICCI).
